We are “the Davids” Carmen and Tavi, and we are really happy to have you as guest in our site. We would like to introduce our Afghans world and show you the start as owners and future breeders, our intentions and goals. We are very young in owning Afghans (since 2000), but we are full of desire and pleasure in having this breed. We started with our first golden/blue male – the serious Don (Jazzoo Je T’Aime di Marssano), which is the most intelligent and sweet afghan on Earth. Since we have retired him from the shows (after he got his Romanian Junior Champion and Romanian Champion title at only 2,5 years old), because he hated every minute of the competition, we are very serious in our intention to send him to Harvard, being too smart for common universities….

Ice appeared after a while, when Don seemed to need a partner for playing chess, therefore we decided to take a second genius baby and started to look for a high quality pup. Kari Svendsen, the owner of kennel Poppyfield, from Norway, made us the honor of being the breeder of our second afghan, the silver pup with sweet angel face. Soon, he made us very clear he had absolutely no interes in playing chess with Don, but he could help in redecorating the house. Of course, he started his “operation” whenever we were stupid enough to go to work, shopping, or even sleeping, but he was very decided to show how much he could do in a very short time. We have had nothing else to do but changing ALL the furniture soon after his arrival… After he turned 2 years, he seemed to agree with the new look of the house… Our Ice (Via Aurelia av Poppyfield) showed us not only his Dracula’s and destroyer face, but also his winner face. He gained his Junior Champion title in only three shows and he was several times RBIS and BIS at ALL BREED SPECIALTY SHOW, starting at 15 months old!!!! He proved that being the son of Boxadan Double Trouble is a huge responsibility and he showed everyone he can handle it with the same determination as he redecorated our home. Our highest pride was when he got the International Champion title, at only 2 years and 7 months, after his Romanian and Bulgarian Champion Titles. But many other titles followed....

Of course our life become too easy, since our 2 boys have grown, therefore, with the evil help of our beloved breeder, we had nothing else to do but complicating our existence and we've got ourselves a new baby afghan, the black beauty with a star on her chest Liwet av Poppyfield. Look closely in her photo album (you have also "Kaja's development gallery")and see how relaxed she is chewing a human finger, while looking far away as only Afghans can do, preparing us for the new days of again "why is it happening to me?" thoughts. At less than 17 months of age, she achieved incredible rekord results for a female - being junior champion in Romania and Bulgaria, taking her first CACIB at 16 months old and becoming Bulgarian, Makedonian, Balkan ,Romanian champion and Romanian Champion Cum Laudae in only 3 weeks... Of course, being a true star doesn't stop her from reminding us she still is a small tornado time to time (read every day) in our house... But....she and we are still alive..... hopefully for a long time...

After we had decided to take Kaja, our good friend, Angela, a victim to be, thought she was ready for an afghan baby as well and she told us she would like to bring one of Kaja's brothers, the black Hun named Thor (Gazardiel av Poppyfield). We've tried to make her understand we were just crazy to do that and she didn't have to be like us, but... no success...Therefore, she got little Thor, who turned out to be nothing else but a beast with her flowers... And, to be happy as a big family, our friend Angela proposed us to co-own Thor (maybe as colleagues in suffering, since he had stollen our hearts as well). Both Thor and Kaja are happy having each other as playmates and they have a lot of pleasure in destroying Angela's garden, so all of us are now a wreck, poor, with our houses destroyed, but happy.:-)) Isn't the life wonderful?

And for all these, there is only one person to be "blamed" : Mrs. Kari Svendsen who trusted us enough and let us have these two great pups. Kari, we thaaaaaaank you!!

And, as if it hasn't been enough, Kari (again), gave an outstanding girl Olympe De Gouge av Poppyfield - Pia to Jacquelin Stein, kennel vom Deilbachtal(Germany), who was so kind to make us the incredible surprise to propose to co-own this great female, too. We have hopes we wil bring her soon in Romania to show her for a while, when her mom and dad will be able to endure the breakup for a few months...

We intend to breed high quality afghans, using not only the experience of our good friend Kari, who has the patience to answer to all our mails (trust me, they are many…), but also other much known breeders and friends from all over the world. We like Afghans with good body structure, sound and substance, corect movement, beautiful expression and nice show temperament. Our desire is not only to breed high quality dogs for show, but also, nice companions to offer lot of joy and happiness for their owners, as our dogs offered us.
